General Advice/Warnings
Unpleasantries

• Tarantulas. Eep!
• There are a lot of political/monetary issues over the water supply. Plan on the water supply being cut off for up to a few hours on any given day, usually in the afternoons.
• It's freakin' hot. Drink a LOT of water or you'll end up with a headache and no energy.
• Remember that you're in another country, a country that doesn't quite have as much money to throw around on fancy clothes/jewelry. Don't go around wearing all your bling.
• Speaking of money, don't expect air conditioning anywhere unless it's the indoor ATM machines or a ridiculously nice hotel (of which there are few…I saw one in San Ignácio and one on the beach in Dangriga)
• Paved roads? Sidewalks? Let me know if you see any.
• Downtown San Ignácio is sketch at night. Enough said.
