An oldie but goodie. This popular Ex-pat city has hooked more backpackers than you can shake a stick at. With an amazing night life, beautiful people, and overall cheap cost of living. This South American hotspot is a little spot of heaven on earth. If you want to learn a foreign language, and plan on staying in a city in south america for awhile, this is the place. Trust me. Plan on being here awhile…. its a good thing
2) Cape Town, South Africa
An amazing mix of culture and society. This city has urban slums and multimillion dollar homes and to top it all off, its by the beach and a mountain at the same time. A bit dangerous, but this makes it only more interesting. The beautiful scenery and people will make you want to claim mother africa as home. Also, a bit hippy and artsy. A vibe similar to San Francisco. Hang around for awhile, and get to know the locals. It'll blow your mind.
3)Tonsai, Thailand
This tiny fishing village is a tiny niche of secluded beauty. A secret kept by rock climbers for years, this beach has scuba diving, kayaking, climbing, and other amazing beach activities. No roads and only access by boat, this place will take you back to simpler times. Avoid the buzz of cities and cars. Sit back relax and dream on the beach. As for people who rock climb…. this is heaven on earth. Smile in knowing you found it.
