General Advice- Taxis Peru

Taxi's in peru don't run on a meter. Taxi drivers and passengers agree on a price before they get in. This works out in the passengers favor because you know that the driver is going to take the fastest route. However, if you don't know how far you are going or where its, you can get ripped off. Try several taxi drivers and see if there is any price difference. Also, if you can get several taxis fighting over your bussiness then you'll have them bidding lower and lower and eventually you will get a fair price.
