Amantani Island

To book a ticket it is best to get to the docks before 7:30am or to go to the docks and get the tickets the day before. There are boats leaving around 8:30am everyday from Puno. The trip costs about 10 dollars and takes about 4 hours and stops at the floating island to pick up people and to check out the floating Reed Islands.

In the morning there are direct boats from the island back to Puno, or you can take the boat to Isla Taquile.

Things to do
There's a hike up to pachatata (small stone shrine) and pachamama.(also a small stone shrine) At top is an excellent view of the entire island. Also, there is a cool football field along the hike. Try and play a pick up game of futball (soccer) with some local kids. Next to pachamama there is a tower. At the top of the tower is an amazing view of the island which is excellent at sunset.

Places to Stay
There are a handful of families that offer beds for travelers. Once a person arrives, there will be a person that will assign you to a family so that no family gets all the tourism money. Places to Eat
There's no resturant on the island, but there is a convient store that sells drinks and snacks.
