Idea Behind Website

So after traveling and backpacking for awhile, I realized that the best information is from other people travelling. Guidebooks are expensive and hard to carry around,often outdated, and incomplete. I decided to start an open source or copyleft website (kinda like wikipedia) where people who are traveling or people who have traveled or anyone for that matter, could compile their collective travel knowledge and share it with each other.

Anyone can add within a page, edit a page or even create a new one. Doesn't require a membership, or any special knowledge. Just the time and the desire to share the knowledge that you have. Thanks for the help, and I hope it all goes well.

Special Features of this website include

• it is a wiki- meaning anybody can change, add, edit information, making this the collective knowledge and experience of everyone. (this website is everybodys)
• a rating system so that people who have experienced things and who do not want to add information can just rate their experience at a place or event.
• its not a comercial site. Its a place for everyone to share their collective travel knowledge within the travel community.
