Visa Information
US, Canada, Australia, Japan and members of the European Union get a visa upon arrival for 90 days. Extensions up to 180 days are also available if you apply. (around 20-25 dollars)

To and from airport
-taxi taxis are available from the airport. There's no meter so haggle with the cab driver and agree on a price before you get in.

Within Peru
-Taxis do not have a meter. They just haggle the prices to get from point A to point B, so you know that you are going to take the most direct route. The best way to get a deal, is to try and haggle with several cab drivers at the same time. Usually, this will cause a bidding war in which you will get a fair price.

Micro's- or "combi's" are small mini vans that pick up people long a specified route within a City. The routes are usually painted on a small board. Locals use micro's but they tend to be a little more dangerous. If you want to get on, just raise your hand as if you were hailing a cab. If you want to get off yell "bajo". While on board someone will take the fee.

Buses
-Buses are cheap and the most common form of travel from city to city. Book seats a day in advance. (ask hostel or hotel for help in booking seats) Check Bus Ticketing/Schedule for dates and times.

-if traveling to some remote areas, make sure your stuff is rainproof because sometimes they are stored on the roof of the bus

Train
Trains are available but sometimes lower class gets stuff with luggage Check theTrain tickets/schedule website for more information
