You can also go sandboarding outside Nazca. A group of us went with a guide, and there were only four of us in a group, left at 4am and hiked under the stars. The hike is difficult, around 4 hours through the sand, mostly uphill, but the boarding is amazing. I had never been before, but I love it now! You can board down the Cerro Blanco, which is the "largest sand dune in the world" (or so they claim), but it is over 2,000 meters long, and takes like 40 minutes to board down. It is well worth it. Our trip was about $20usd.
Sand boarding in Peru
There is sandboarding and dune bugging in a small town of huacachina in peru. I believe the price is around 20 dollars a day. Its is absolutely worth the price, but is a bit scarey. (like a rollercoaster, but with bad seatbelts and whiplash)
